Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway

Job Summary: Our INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN / MAINTENANCE MECHANIC performs routine installations, repairs, and maintenance of all equipment throughout our manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with local and federal codes.

Electrical / Maintenance Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of hand tools
• Troubleshoots and safely repairs basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, and components
• Inspects and repairs electrical systems throughout the facility, eliminating electrical hazards that may pose safety issues to people and property
• Maintains and repairs electronic components of production machinery to ensure efficiency and safe operation
• Relocates and installs outlets and data ports where needed
• Plans layout and installations of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Effectively prioritizes equipment issues in order of importance, manage downtime, and communicates issues to peers and leadership; escalates issues to experts or external resources as needed
• Proactively researches and troubleshoots potential issues to building infrastructure and production equipment
• Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
• Installs, tests and documents new equipment to ensure proper operation
• Performs Preventive Maintenance and Documentation
• Accurately completes all work order and quality paperwork
• Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track assigned actions, updates peers, and communicates with departments
• Reads and interprets equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for equipment
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop
• Reports environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• High school diploma and/or technical degree through a trade/vocational technology school
• Associates and/or certificate of proficiency in Electrical Technology preferred
• 5+ years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience including basic technical skills - Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Fluid Power, Hand Tools
• 3+ years of full-time experience and strong electrical field knowledge including conduit bending and wire installation, and the ability to make repairs and upgrades
• Good computer skills with ability to learn new systems quickly
• Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills
• Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of rotating between 1st and 2nd shift as needed
• Strong safety awareness
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) experience helpful or willingness to learn
